to cloth diaper, or not to cloth diaper

Cloth diapers are a big topic of conversation with parents of new babies. Cloth diapers have many great benefits, but also require quite a bit of work on your part. Delighted Child is a big supporter of cloth diapering your child, but we understand the amount of time and energy it takes to use cloth diapers. Not only do we have some cloth diaper brand recommendations for you, but we also want to introduce you to services that will deliver your cloth diapers, launder them, and provide you with bigger sizes as your child grows.

Kelly’s Closet has a lot of options on their site. We are also big supporters of gDiapers and bumGenius which we highly recommend. They are soft, natural, and will help to eliminate the possibility of diaper rash.

For those that are looking for a service to help you with your quest for using cloth diapers, Happy Nappy Diaper Service in Canada does just that! They offer weekly pick-up & delivery, and laundry service. Dy-Dee Diaper Service out of Pasadena, California, does the same. Diaper Kind in NYC is an option for our East Coast friends. We think these are great services for parents who want to use cloth diapers but don’t have the time, energy or want to do what it takes to keep up with the cloth diaper process in-house. If you don’t live in Canada, Cali or NYC, just google “cloth diaper service {your town}” to find the closest service to you.

We’d love to hear about your experiences with cloth diapers. Shoot us an email or leave a comment.

The Honest Company

Have you heard about The Honest Company yet? We are quickly becoming big fans of this company. Co-founded by actress Jessica Alba, The Honest Company created eco-friendly, non-toxic, chlorine-free, sustainable and plant-based materials. Their products range from diapers to wipes, training pants to swim diapers, bath & body products, and cleaning products, all made for children and all chemical free. We also love the assortment of diaper patterns, options including stars, skulls, anchors and more. It’s really neat that parents now have a choice in the diaper department- the days of chemical-based diapers with boring patterns are over! Hooray!

The Honest Company offers a free trial, and sells products in bundles for your convenience. Try it out and report back about your experience. We hope other companies follow in their footsteps and start creating more natural products too!
